All across the Morris and Sussex, NJ, areas, there are office buildings and other commercial buildings operating businesses. Areas like Parsippany, NJ, are major hubs for offices, and locations such as Budd Lake, NJ, are home to many commercial buildings as well. Often times, corporate offices, and other commercial offices can read as cold and uninviting. With this in mind, it is important to create a landscape that will not only attract business, but offer a pleasant visual for all who see it. Obviously, commercial buildings operate on limited space, but that does not mean that they cannot be beautified. Here are some key ways that commercial lawn maintenance is key in creating an inviting space in Morris and Sussex, NJ, areas:

  1. Color Choices: Colors have a major impact on the ways in which we psychologically perceive the world around us. Cooler colors, like silvers and blues, tend not to create a warm sensation in those who see them. Many commercial spaces are occupied in cooler-toned buildings, which can be subconsciously off-putting to those who view them. Obviously, you cannot change the color of your commercial building. What you can do is use warm and inviting colors around your landscape in order to create a more welcoming environment. Neutral colors such as warm-toned browns and deep-toned greens are beneficial, as are pops of color (think brightly colored flowers) within the landscape to give it an image of being welcoming and exciting.

  2. Traffic Patterns: Commercial lawn maintenance can make a confusing parking lot easier to navigate. Specifically placed shrubbery and plants allow for a better understood "path" of the road, and will result in traffic flowing seamlessly in and out of your commercial building. Additionally, all roads and parking areas should be maintained in order to prevent damage such as pot holes. Walkways should be consistently scanned for cracks and chips, as these can result in an injury and hefty medical and legal fees. Finally, adorn the landscape where patrons walk. Shrubbery, ornamentals, and flowers along a walkway create a pleasant experience for those traveling in and out of your location.

  3. Landscape Maintenance: Overall, your landscape should be bright and inviting. A major component of this is routine landscaping maintenance. Your commercial building should be trim and manicured at all times because a messy exterior leads potential business to be wary that operations may not be happening in an organized and consistent manner. Neglecting your location's landscape will undoubtedly hurt business. Grass should always be mowed, shrubs should always be trimmed, and nutritional needs should always be met.
